Dr Wolfgang Seel newly elected to the Supervisory Board of Münchener Hypothekenbank and appointed Deputy Chairman

The Delegates Meeting of Münchener Hypothekenbank today elected Dr Wolfgang Seel as a new member of the Bank’s Supervisory Board. In the subsequent constituent meeting of the Supervisory Board, he was elected as Deputy Chairman.

Dr Wolfgang Seel has been Chairman of the Board of Management of VR-Bank Neu-Ulm eG since 2016. He is also a member of the Association Council of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Volksbanken und Raiffeisenbanken (BVR – National Association of German Cooperative Banks).

“With the appointment of Dr Wolfgang Seel, we have gained a highly experienced and skilled senior personality on the Supervisory Board. He has proven sector expertise and is well established within the Cooperative Financial Network,” said Dr Hermann Starnecker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Münchener Hypothekenbank.

Gregor Scheller, previous Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Münchener Hypothekenbank and former President of Genossenschaftsverband Bayern (Cooperative Association of Bavaria), stepped down from the Board at the end of his term due to reasons of age. He had been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2015.

Dr Hermann Starnecker thanked him for his many years of loyal service: “Gregor Scheller was dedicated to the success of Münchener Hypothekenbank. In a time of great upheaval, the Bank benefited immensely from his expertise and wealth of experience in the Cooperative Financial Network.”
