Markus Wirsen to become member of MünchenerHyp’s Board of Management

The Supervisory Board of Münchener Hypothekenbank eG (MünchenerHyp) has announced that it intends to appoint Markus Wirsen (54) as a member of the Bank’s Board of Management. Plans call for him to assume his new duties effective 1 April 2022. This decision was made pending the approval of the German banking supervision authorities. 

Markus Wirsen has been the Head of the Restructuring and Recovery Department at DZ HYP since 2021. Following the conclusion of his law studies he joined the WL Bank, one of DZ HYP’s predecessor institutions, in 1997. He held various executive positions at the WL BANK and was co-head of the entire restructuring programme of the bank’s property business as part of its merger with DZ HYP.

MünchenerHyp’s Board of Management currently consists of Dr Louis Hagen (Chairman), Dr Holger Horn (Deputy Chairman) und Ulrich Scheer.
